To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a  Equipment Operator (Mobile Shear) with superior time management skills to join our busy South Edmonton location. This role is responsible for the safe operation of a material handler in our ferrous yard for the purpose of moving and loading materials on-site. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, have previous experience operating a material handler or other heavy equipment, sound judgment, and a positive can-do attitude.

This is a day shift - Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and some Saturday's from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM and the hourly rate is $30-34.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load railcars with recycled metal materials
  • Operate material handler in a safe and effective manner
  • Move, reduce, process, and load materials as dictated by production activity
  • Pile, spread, or sort product by grade for appropriate placement on site
  • Understand product/material information
  • Clean and service equipment as scheduled or required
  • Other assigned work as required

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience operating hydraulic cranes/material handlers
