At American Patrols, patrolling pipeline and production assets is at the heart of what we do. Our Production Patrol and Pipeline Patrol services help customers protect the environment, preserve revenue, minimize cleanup costs, and implement cost-efficient operating models in the field.

We are growing rapidly, and are seeking to add a motivated, detail-oriented, flexible Aircraft Maintenance Scheduler to the Team to enable us to maintain our fleet of over 60 aircraft. We operate in a fast-paced environment where trust is key, and high-performance is expected and rewarded.

Job Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Scheduler performs key administrative, logistics, and clerical duties in support of in-house aviation maintenance managers and mechanics. This is a vital role, embedded within the Maintenance Team, that tackles routine tasks (documentation checks, filing, scheduling) and one-off projects to ensure that the Team has everything they need to operate at the highest levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify the company’s core values to teammates and subordinates through both your words and actions. Enable API to fulfill its Mission to be our Customers’ most trusted leak detection service.

  • Process, screen, and maintain aircraft maintenance forms and records. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure documents are completed and filed correctly.

  • Initiate and/or distribute applicable maintenance forms in accordance with established procedures.

  • Track productivity to enable maintenance capacity and forecasting.

  • Track discrepancy reports, and communicate with Pilots to provide updates thereto.

  • Prepare typed and/or computer-generated correspondence and reports.

  • Creating detailed flying schedules for the week, month, quarter, and year and scheduling aircraft maintenance.

  • Monitoring repairs and maintenance, and keeping track of aircraft performance.

  • Analyzing data and making recommendations for improvements. 

  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager/Director and/or Operations Manager to:

    • Ensure accurate aircraft statuses are updated in Company systems in real time.

    • Forecast and schedule planned maintenance.

    • Update the aircraft operations schedule.

  • Prepare Mechanic work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.

  • Updating aircraft status board and aircraft status sheets.

  • Inputting discrepancies into maintenance specific software.

  • Perform other duties on behalf of American Patrols or Skywest Airport as may be assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork and organization skills are essential.

  • High School degree or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.

  • Two years’ experience in high-volume clerical and scheduling role(s)

  • Experience in a documentation-intensive work environment required; working knowledge of aircraft maintenance records preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Sheets is preferred.

  • Proficient with web-based and mobile scheduling and communications applications

  • Must be able to lift and carry 70-lbs from floor to waist level or higher on a continuous basis if required; able to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and twisting for extended amounts of time.

  •  Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position; ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as ear protection, safety glasses, gloves, and high visibility clothing when required. This is an airport environment with duties both indoor and outdoor. Must be able to withstand extreme outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperature ranges will be encountered.

Hours

  • 10:00am - 7:00pm; Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday

Work Location: Office spaces, aircraft maintenance shops, hangars and flight line.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
