Essential Tasks:
  • Ability to review statute number and associated paperwork on individual filings to create new arrest and non-arrest cases, out of county arrest, transfer and summons cases for Felony and Misdemeanor, Criminal Traffic, County/Municipal Ordinances, Civil Penalty and Civil Infractions.
  • Accurately build and post detailed information into case management system timely.
  • Maintain intake filing system for new cases.
  • Assist other Intake Team members in meeting the morning deadline associated with the building and preparation of the above styled cases for daily First Appearance Hearings.
  • Process PTR orders, bonds and informations.
  • Scan and index case related documents.
  • Redaction of confidential information.
  • Process Grand Jury Indictments at a high level of confidentiality.
  • Establish case file folders for capital felony cases by ensuring the file documentation is complete, labeled and in order.
  • Maintain defendant’s name and division assignment on non-arrest child abuse cases.
  • Set court dates and/or payment due dates and send proper notification to applicable parties.
  • Data entry and timely issuance of summons including preparation of cover letter and mailing when applicable.
  • Index documents that are filed through the e-portal from assigned queues.
  • Research records in CCIS and DAVID to accurately process case filings including the preparation of immobilization orders.
  • Printing of driver’s license and tag printouts for Felony cases.
  • Perform record searches and co-defendant searches, adding each defendant’s criminal history and cases, and assigning to one of the felony divisions, along with a capital murder judge.
  • Answer telephone calls from internal and external agencies in a professional and courteous manner by providing accurate procedural information as outlined in department guidelines.
  • Being able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Multi-task and perform other related work as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • This position requires a six-month training period for new employees.
