Essential Tasks:
- Create, maintain and dispose of Family Law cases by reviewing court orders.
- Timely and accurately respond to all Automated Random Moments (ARMARS).
- Perform clerical and administrative duties including indexing, scanning and e-filing of documents while adhering to performance time standards.
- Assist with the daily deposit and the SDU download.
- Answer incoming telephone calls by assisting internal and external customers professionally with accurate information.
- Assist customers at the front counter by accurately cashiering their alimony and/or child support payment and answering routine questions or directing them to their appropriate destination.
- Interpret and explain case histories to hearing officers, judges, government agencies and customers.
- Assist in performing lien related functions and payment processing.
- Being able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- All other duties assigned.
Minimum Skills / Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write correspondence and ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization. Bilingual skills are encouraged.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team member with other employees.
- Ability to communicate well with people with varied backgrounds.
- Ability to research resource materials.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage work to meet necessary time requirements and workload.
- Ability to accurately type 35 WPM.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail and to remain calm in an anxious, intense environment.
- Ability to operate a PC and/or mainframe-based systems.
- Proficient use of Word and the ability to learn industry-based software.
- Ability to cover work of other employees to ensure that deadlines are met.
