Find out what everyone else missed.

Every person and company leaves a trail across court dockets, corporate registries, property and lien records, regulatory filings, news archives and social media, in the U.S. and around the world. At Quinlan Partners, you'll follow that trail and turn it into intelligence that shapes major investment decisions, high-stakes litigation and sensitive investigations.

Quinlan Partners is a global, employee-owned due diligence, investigations and business intelligence firm. Our clients include leading private equity firms and many of the largest U.S. law firms. They come to us when they need answers fast and they need them right.

We are seeking an inquisitive, highly motivated and experienced investigator to join our team in New York as a Senior Associate. You'll be a part of a group of seasoned corporate investigators, investigative journalists and attorneys at a firm that is growing quickly and already recognized as a leader in its field.

What you'll do

  • Lead in-depth public record and open-source investigations into people and companies, from executives being vetted for a board seat to counterparties in a cross-border dispute.

  • Expertly navigate investigative databases, court systems, corporate and property registries, and social media to find what isn't obvious.

  • Analyze court filings, recorded documents, financial disclosures, corporate records and media coverage, then connect the dots.

  • Write clear, client-ready investigative reports and brief senior management and clients on what you found and why it matters.

  • Train and mentor junior investigators in public record and OSINT research methods.

  • Execute deadline-driven research projects within corresponding budgets, including efficiently managing time and juggling multiple assignments and deadlines.

What you bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in corporate investigations, investigative or business journalism, or a related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, history, journalism, political science, international relations/affairs, or related fields.

  • Exceptional public record and open-source research skills. You know where to look and what to do when the first search comes up empty.

  • Prior experience conducting an array of investigations, including business intelligence, deep-dive due diligence, and complex litigation support-related investigations.

  • A track record of getting, analyzing, and distilling information that answers hard questions for corporations, investors, and attorneys.

  • Strong writing, sharp attention to detail and a dogged work ethic.

  • Fluency in a second language is a plus, but not required.

Compensation and benefits

In addition to working alongside some of the best and brightest talent in the industry, our team members enjoy industry-leading compensation as well as comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage, company paid life insurance and STD/LTD coverage, a best-in-class parental leave program, 401k retirement plan with employer matching contribution, a commuter benefits program, competitive paid time off, hybrid work arrangements, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
