Fabricator/Welder

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, the Fabricator/Welder will weld, fabricate, and restore high-end automotive chassis and parts; in addition, they will have the opportunity to develop our Junior Fabricators through on-the-job training. They will be directly supporting and impacting Singer’s mission, “Everything is Important.”

Essential Functions

Weld, fabricate and restore high-end automotive chassis and parts
Prepare and fabricate parts to engineering specifications
Properly fit/align parts and panels according to design specifications
Prepares and stages upcoming production builds before they enter the department
Interpret manuals, design specifications, technical blueprints, SAE, and metric drawings
Inspects both raw materials and finished products for conformance to quality specifications

Minimum Qualifications

0 to 7 years of related work experience in an automotive (chassis/parts), restoration, manufacturing, and or assembly environment
Experience in GTAW (TIG) welding process and GMAW (MIG) welding process
General automotive knowledge and knowledge of fabrication, machining/welding equipment setup, process, and maintenance

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with overtime as needed.

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is between $20.00 - $28.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
