CMF Specialist


 
Position Summary
The CMF Specialist works with our design & operations teams globally to ensure we deliver stunning and unique restorations that exceed client expectations and honor our principal that “Everything is Important.” They drive the implementation of innovative new content and support the development of unique features for our clients. 

This role is onsite in at our HQ Torrance, CA and will also need to go to the design studio in Van Nuys, CA as needed.

 
Essential Functions
  • Efficiently and seamlessly coordinates interior development projects 
  • Work closely with specifications and special projects teams globally to offer support and guidance on CMF solutions for customer requests and procure relevant samples to support the client journey  
  • Design and refine leather weave diagrams using CAD 
  • Liaise with leather suppliers regarding all leather requirements such as weave diagrams, sample ordering and finalized interior specs  
  • Coordinate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure that interior and CMF features are executed to the highest standard 
  • Coordinate lead times for interior projects to ensure on-time production 
  • Coordinate CMF and interior elements of special projects 
  • Investigate new CMF content for our clients, ensuring a best in class offering with cutting edge technologies, processes and materials  
  • Create and seek out inspiring new design solutions through existing and new vendors  
  • Support in the definition of palettes for inspirational ‘hero’ specs  
  • Support in the definition of content for new restoration services  
  • Support in continuous improvement to client journey and operational processes related to CMF 
  • Performs other duties as assigned  

Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Automotive, Fashion/Apparel, Aerospace, and/or Marine applications or in a CMF focused role 
Preferred Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or certification and/or technical automotive program graduate 
  • Advanced knowledge of leather work and premium fabrics 
  • Prior experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing or fashion industry  
  • Prior experience in luxury goods industry  
  • Prior experience in rapid growth environment

  • Strong analytical, project management, computer (MS Office), communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar)

 Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Must be able to work in a seated position for extended periods 
  • Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms at computer keyboard for extended periods

Compensation
The starting pay for this position is $68,640 - $75,100 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
