We are seeking an Prep Cook with experience in the the kitchen and a passion for customer service to join our team at Shangri-La Springs.

This position entails physical labor consistent with working in a hotel, and may include standing for prolonged periods, stair-climbing, lifting, pulling, or pushing items up to 50lbs.
Harvest & Wisdom café will be open for brunch. Must have early day availability, however flexible.
Full-time schedule TBD in conjunction with the Kitchen Manager but the Prep Cook can expect to work weekends and some nights

The Prep Cook will:
- Handle the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
- And other duties as assigned by manager.
The ideal candidate will:
- Cooking experience required.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Maintain a positive and customer service focused attitude
- Be self-directed, and also able to both give and receive direction clearly
