Maintenance Technician Apprentice - Tillamook County Creamery Association (Tillamook, OR)

Here’s a day in the life:

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment, including preventive and reactive maintenance, using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties, complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Prepares and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, Packaging Mechanical, Refrigeration, PLC/Process Controls, Dairy Systems Mechanic, Electrical, Welding/Fabrication, and General Maintenance; Reads and interprets drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Document repair and maintenance tasks in CMMS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High school diploma or GED is required

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting and moving tools and equipment
• Standing, raising and lowering 50# from/to a height of 60"
• Frequent lifting and moving tools and equipment
• Standing, lifting and carrying 50# from floor 6 ft
• Standing, raising and lowering 50#
