Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building high-quality systems from the ground up, and contributing to mission-critical space and defense programs. This role offers meaningful technical ownership, the ability to influence system architecture, and the flexibility to do your best work in a balanced environment.

In this role, you will:

• Develop software in a collaborative hybrid (TS/unclassified) environment, with most work performed remotely (typically around 70%)
• Play a key role in integration efforts across the program’s hybrid architecture
• Partner directly with users to shape system scope, refine requirements, and design new capabilities
• Provide analytical and technical guidance throughout the full development lifecycle — from concept to implementation
• Support evaluations of systems for compliance with government and commercial software and safety standards
• Build robust C++ applications using modern tools, practices, and architectural approaches

With a largely remote schedule and a culture that prioritizes work-life balance, this role is ideal for someone who wants to lead meaningful technical efforts without sacrificing flexibility or personal time. It’s a great fit for engineers who want influence, autonomy, and the chance to build systems that matter.

 Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years in software engineering or related experience
  • 3 years of experience with C++ (preferably C++11 or newer)
  • Experience with Python 3
  • Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments (Mostly Linux)
  • Must have the ability to architect software solutions using new and novel concepts
  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance

Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML) frameworks and concepts (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, RLlib)
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology
  • Familiarity with Java and/or Scala
  • Experience with database programming (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker)
  • Experience with C++20 or newer
