Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Director of Advanced Programs, National Security Space in the Business Development Organization, reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer. This role leads business development activities for the company driving Trusted Space growth in the National Security Space and Intelligence sector. The ideal candidate excels at identifying, pursuing, capturing, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities focused on a broad range of opportunities from research through Programs of Record. Key to the candidate's success is cultivating and managing strategic relationships with industry, academia, and government agencies. The successful candidate works closely with our executive team to set growth strategies, establish priorities, improve capture processes, communicate status, and deliver timely and accurate business forecasts. 


Responsibilities include:
  • Own and deliver NET NEW bookings and revenue growth across National Security Space markets, with primary focus on U.S. Space Force.
  • Build, maintain and leverage senior-level relationships across United States Space Force and other National Security Space stakeholders.
  • Identify, shape, and mature opportunities pre-RFP, including requirements influence, solution framing, teaming strategy and competitive positioning.
  • Lead end-to-end capture strategy for priority pursuits, including win themes, customer engagement plans, pricing strategy and competitive analysis.
  • Develop and manage a multi-year qualified pipeline, including opportunity prioritization, resource alignment and accurate forecasting.
  • Partner closely with technical leadership and program teams to translate customer mission needs into compelling, executable, and fundable solutions.
  • Coordinate and lead Trusted Space responses to RFIs, RFPs, BAAs, OTAs, and other solicitations, ensuring alignment between strategy, solution and price.  
  • Shape and execute strategic partnerships and teaming agreements with primes, subject matter experts, and non-traditional partners to increase win probability.
  • Represent Trusted Space at key industry days, conferences, customer meetings, and classified forums to build brand presence and drive opportunity creation.
  • Provide regular, data-driven pipeline, capture, and forecast updates to executive leadership, including risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
  • Serve as a key voice of the customer internally, ensuring product and solution roadmaps remain aligned to evolving mission needs and acquisition priorities.

Required Qualifications
  • US Citizenship
  • Active/current TS/SCI clearance, SAP eligibility preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, or Sciences
  • 10 years of experience in business development, capture, technical leadership, in national security space or defense
  • Existing relationships with U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command, USSF PEOs, and FFRDC ecosystem
  • Experienced in space technology or related sciences
  • Demonstrated experience pursuing, capturing, and closing net new business
  • Familiarity with DoD and commercial satellite systems
  • Proven record of closing net new business

Desired Skills
  • 15 years of performing business development or customer management in a technology field
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, or Sciences

Required Skills

  • Direct experience with U.S. Space Force and Title 10 space programs
  • Existing relationships with U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command, USSF PEOs and FFRDC ecosystem

  • Ability to work independently in a high trust role
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with distributed teams

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $175,000-$250,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary.
