Job Description
Trusted Space is a seeking an Aerospace Engineer with familiarity of two and three body dynamics and state estimation filters to join our team.
- Provide orbital and mission design and analysis to support our customer’s science mission
- Support autonomy contracts at Trusted Space, including development of automated threat analysis, on-board resource management, and course of action decision-making tools
- Utilize Agile methodology and processes
- United States citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree (or relevant experience in lieu of degree) in aerospace engineering or related technical field
- Familiarity with spacecraft flight dynamics modeling and simulation and/or spacecraft flight dynamics operations
- Experience working with two and three body orbital dynamics
- Experience with state estimation filters, including batch, Kalman, and/or particle filters
- Programming experience in Python, Java, or similar
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and operate in a collaborative, fast-paced, process-oriented, deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Experience with aerospace tools such as GMAT, Orekit, FreeFlyer, Copernicus, ASSET and/or STK
- Some experience with or interested in autonomy algorithms
- Some experience with or interest in data processing and analysis
- Familiarity with the Agile Manifesto and experience working on teams using Agile processes
Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $70,000-$95,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
