Internal Communications Manager - Remote ()

The primary purpose of the Internal Communications Manager is to develop, manage, and execute all company-wide internal communications to ensure clarity, alignment, and engagement across the organization. This role owns enterprise communication channels, intranet development and governance, SharePoint administration, and messaging strategy to support business priorities, employee engagement, and organizational transparency.

As the Internal Communications Manager, you will: 

• Develop and execute company-wide internal communications to ensure clear, consistent, and timely messaging across the organization. 
• Draft and distribute leadership announcements, organizational updates, change communications, and key business messages. 
• Partner with executive leadership to shape messaging for major initiatives, restructures, launches, and acquisitions. 
• Lead the buildout, administration, and ongoing optimization of the company intranet. 
• Serve as SharePoint administrator, managing site structure, permissions, governance, workflows, and content standards. 
• Maintain intranet content accuracy, usability, and navigation across departments. 
• Manage internal communication platforms including Teams, SharePoint, email distributions, and newsletters. 
• Develop communication templates, toolkits, and messaging frameworks for leaders and managers. 
• Support change management efforts by developing communication plans, FAQs, and rollout timelines. 
• Track engagement metrics and recommend improvements to increase visibility and employee alignment. 
• Establish communication governance standards, approval workflows, and archiving practices. 
• Ensure all internal communications align with company brand, legal, and compliance standards. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

This position follows established policies and procedures to keep confidential information secure. 

A great fit for this position has: 

• 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or employee engagement roles. 
• Strong hands-on experience building and managing SharePoint environments. 
• Experience developing and managing intranet platforms. 
• Exceptional writing and editing skills. 
• Experience supporting executive-level messaging. 
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 back-end management (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, etc). 
• Experience with communication analytics and engagement measurement.

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
