Job Summary:

The Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) Assistant supports the Mortgage Loan Originator by managing administrative tasks, coordinating loan processes, and providing exceptional service to clients. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist MLOs with managing and organizing client files and documentation.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and follow-ups with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and process loan application documents and disclosures.
  •  Maintain accurate records and update loan status in the company’s loan processing system
Client Interactions:
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, answering questions and providing updates on loan application status. Gather and verify necessary documentation from clients, such as income statements, credit reports, and other financial information.
  • Ensure a positive client experience by providing timely and clear communication.
Loan Processing:
  • Assist with the loan application process by collecting and reviewing necessary documentation.
  • Prepare loan files for submission to underwriting and ensure all required information is included.
  • Monitor loan progress and follow up on outstanding items or conditions
Compliance & Accuracy:
o Ensure all loan documentation and processes comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
o Review and verify accuracy of loan documents and application information.
o Assist with quality control and resolve any issues that may arise during the loan process.

• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with MLOs, underwriters, and other team members to ensure smooth loan processing.
  • Provide support and training to new team members as needed.
Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a mortgage or financial services environment is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and loan processing software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of MH and/or mortgage lending regulations and practices is a plus.

Work Location:
Wayne, PA 

Working Conditions:
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
