The Position:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining comprehensive financial records, ensuring accurate tracking of the organization’s assets, liabilities, profits, losses, and tax obligations. Your key duties will include preparing journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing financial statements for accuracy and disbursement.
  • Assist with tax and external compliance issues.
  • Ad-hoc management reporting needs.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
  • Provide technical support and advice on managing accounts.
  • Assist in reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Assist with developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies.
  • Liaise with department Management to improve financial procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in accounting/finance required.
  • Experience with Accounting & ERP software packages (QuickBooks, Expensify, and Acumatica) required.
  • Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred.

Desired Skills and Competencies:
