The Property Maintenance Technician assists and ensures the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and residential properties. This full-time role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or lead maintenance projects. This individual will possess experience in facilities maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment. The position is responsible for tactical decisions that determine daily workflow and may arrive through various modes of communication. The Property Maintenance Technician is accountable to the Facilities and Property Manager. Essential Job Functions
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on lodges, facilities, and infrastructure to help minimize major repairs (90%)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Conduct repairs and fabrications as needed for structural components
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Lead or assist with projects such as residential painting or facility upgrades while ensuring safety standards are met
- Supervise or coordinate with team members during maintenance tasks, providing guidance and leadership as required
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in training new team members on maintenance procedures and safety practices
Communicate with other staff and external contacts (10%)
- Report property and maintenance issues, as needed
- Represent Tasks Unlimited at lodges and other related functions
- Cooperate with other departments to support achievement of agency's mental health and programming goals
- Participate in staff meetings, as requested
- Support Tasks Unlimited fundraising, promotional events
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required
- Knowledge of construction, rehab, renovation, building maintenance, and commercial contract management; mechanical skills necessary to do the job
- Three (3) years’ experience in a similar setting or in property management
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environment
- Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical schematics
- Experience with residential painting or general construction
- Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
Preferred
- Leadership experience in a maintenance setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate clear documentation and teamwork
