Role Summary: 
As a TRAFFIX Account Manager you will play a vital role in the retention of our valued customers. You will be the liaison between TRAFFIX and the clients in your care. Your primary responsibility will be to build a strong, professional relationship with your accounts. In coordination with the sales representative, you will design unique solutions using TRAFFIX wide range of transportation services to provide the client with value, while making their jobs easier. You will be the frontline contact for the customer and their best friend at TRAFFIX! 

What does a day in the life of an Account Manager look like?

  • Manage and grow customer relationships
  • Full cycle order processing ensuring that all loads are accurately received and entered in the TMS system
  • Ensures all required paperwork is accurately completed, electronically filed, and communicated to all necessary parties
  • Responsible for carrier communications, such as providing detailed pickup/delivery information; as well as, managing any in-transit delays such as mechanical failure, accident, etc.
  • Tracks shipments from pickup through delivery ensuring accurate up to date information is always available and communicated appropriately to customers and team members
  • Ensures all customer specific pickup and delivery KPIs are met
  • Communicates any service delays or failures to the customer prior to the occurrence (or as soon as possible)
  • Assists drivers on an ongoing basis to find locations, get directions or contact third parties to order to ensure on time deliveries
  • Perform any other reasonable duties assigned or directed by management as necessary to ensure the continued success of Traffix and the Logistics Department.

Primary Objectives:
  • Maximize level of business from existing customers
  • Work with operations to maximize revenue on each load
  • Build strong sustainable relationships with clients, prospects, and carriers
  • Exemplify Traffix values and strategic goals

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting sales by meeting or exceeding established sales quotas
  • Developing professional relationships with assigned TRAFFIX customers
  • Providing status updates to customers and/or sales when requested
  • Working with Customer Service to track shipment pickup, in-transit updates, and deliveries
  • Managing in-transit delays to have minimal impact on the customer
  • Working with the TRAFFIX Bond Team when TRAFFIX Continuous Bond is in use
  • Proactively identifying potential problems and/or issues and providing a solution whenever possible
  • Managing customer complaints and providing a resolution
  • All related filing and record-keeping

Who are you?
You are an expert in the industry with a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Account Manager in logistics and bring amazing knowledge of trucking regulations, geography, and problem-solving skills. You love getting to know people and building lasting relationships. You bring experience with Spot Quoting and multi-modal knowledge of Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, LTL and expedite service. You value customer relationships along with customer upselling and growth. You enjoy the fast-paced environment where quick thinking and proactive problem-solving are required daily. Lastly, you are motivated and bring an amazing sense of humor!
