Role Summary
As a Pricing Analyst at TRAFFIX, you will collaborate with our Customer Sales and Carrier Sales teams to support customer bids/RFPs and make strategic pricing decisions. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to provide data-backed recommendations and industry insights, helping TRAFFIX secure profitable, long-term contracts across various services, including truckload, managed transportation, and more.

Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Market Analysis:

  • Analyze pricing data using industry benchmarks, historical sales trends, and competitor insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain pricing models and tools to support ongoing rate analysis and business planning.
  • Monitor and report on pricing performance, cost trends, and market competitiveness. 

Strategic Support:

  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to develop pricing strategies that drive profitability and align with company goals.
  • Support the development of marketing strategies by providing data-driven insights into market trends and customer behavior.
  • Assist in the RFP process, including analysis, proposal development, and pricing submissions.

Customer & Carrier Management: 

  • Monitor logistics industry trends, carrier capacity, competitor pricing signals, and macroeconomic factors to proactively shift pricing strategies
  • Work closely with Carrier and Sourcing teams to ensure competitive and accurate pricing, supporting strong carrier relationships.

Team Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to track costs and identify opportunities for savings or revenue growth.
  • Maintain a team-oriented, values-driven work environment aligned with TRAFFIX’s mission and culture.
  • Provide support and mentorship to colleagues to help achieve shared goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of pricing experience in trucking logistics or carrier sales.
  • Pricing negotiation experience is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with clear presentation abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Power BI a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of truckload shipping and the freight market.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of North American geography, various equipment types and modes, and domestic US freight markets is a plus.
