ROLE
The Procurement Administrator is responsible for providing assistance to the Director of Procurement, North America in execution of the corporate procurement strategy. The Procurement Administrator is also responsible for supporting project procurement strategies, facilitating project services/materials, and administering project subcontracts.

The Procurement Administrator is also responsible for supporting project procurement strategies, facilitating project services/materials, and administering project subcontracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Purchase of supplies, equipment, and inventory resources efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
- Setting up equipment purchase orders and monthly receiving and invoicing of rental equipment.
- Supporting with daily PO and invoice issue resolution.
- Working closely with Accounts Payable and vendors on various issues.
- Responsible for cutting POs in a timely manner to support our projects.
- Develop procurement strategies and execute sourcing activities.
- Create in-depth spend analysis and category profiles.
- Support site procurement activities including liaising with finance and cost control teams.
- Working with approved vendors to drive value-add initiatives.
- Perform contract close out activities.
- Plan and participate in RFP strategy development and contract kickoff meetings.
- Communicate status and identify/resolve barriers to progress.
- Support reporting requirements and manage execution against corporate KPIs.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with suppliers as well as internal and external clients.
- Maintain policies, procedures, and systems according to company practices.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or Engineering.
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is considered an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience working with fleet or equipment management.
- Previous experience in executing tactical sourcing events.
- Management and delivery of procurement procedures including proven success with realizing financial savings.
- Experience with designing and implementing procurement policies and procedures is considered an asset.
- Previous experience a similar role in the engineering or construction industry (preferably pipeline construction) is considered an asset.
- Understanding of the oil and gas pipeline construction industry.
- Understanding of sourcing fundamentals.
- Understanding of technical pipeline terminology.
- Ability to gather information from a variety of sources and assemble together into a professional document.
- Comfortable with a high paced environment and providing support to projects that are 6 days a week.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational & analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
