Valiant Harbor International is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Business Financial Manager to support our customer, the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). ARPA-H is focused on accelerating better health outcomes by supporting the development of high-impact solutions to society’s most challenging health problems.
This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires candidates to be located within reasonable proximity of Washington, DC to support the ARPA-H mission on site as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive programmatic, financial, and administrative support to ARPA-H programs
• Perform financial tracking and analysis, including budget preparation and administration
• Support solicitation preparation and management
• Track deliverables, milestones, schedules, and calendars
• Develop, organize, forecast, and maintain financial budgets
• Create and coordinate budget and acquisition funding documents
• Facilitate small meetings and support related administrative activities
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of three (3) years of related financial and administrative assistance experience
• Experience supporting government research and development organizations; DARPA experience highly desirable
• Experience developing, organizing, forecasting, and maintaining budgets and tracking technical and financial milestones
• Knowledge of government budgeting and government contracting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to operate effectively in team-based, fast-paced environments
• Proficiency in Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) and creation/modification of Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs)
Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
