WolfTrek is an Indigenous owned company providing technical recruitment search services for engineering and construction professionals and companies across Canada.

We are currently hiring an Industrial Electrical Estimator for our client based in Mississauga — a nationwide leader in industrial infrastructure construction services with locations across Canada, currently working on various large-scale and high-profile projects in the Ontario market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical estimates, analyzing tender documents, and supporting new project opportunities. This role requires technical expertise, excellent judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for industrial, infrastructure, and heavy civil projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to define project scope, risks, and opportunities
• Develop budgets from preliminary sketches, conceptual designs, and project specifications
• Obtain, review, and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, and industry partners
• Participate in site visits, pre-tender meetings, and coordination meetings as required
• Identify value engineering opportunities, cost-saving solutions, and risk mitigation strategies
• Prepare bid packages, closing strategies, and supporting documentation for tender submissions
• Assist with post-tender feedback, change orders, and lessons learned
• Maintain and update estimating databases, historical cost data, and software tools
• Provide guidance and support to project teams on estimating procedures and electrical scope

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in industrial construction
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods in Canada
• Experience using estimating software, spreadsheets, and cost-tracking tools
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications
• Bilingual (French & English) — asset, not mandatory
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Team-oriented, professional, and accountable, with excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with at least 3 days per week in the office
