ROLE
WHC Energy Services – A Surerus Murphy Company (WHC), is seeking to recruit a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Administrator to join their team. The HSE Administrator is responsible for assisting the safety team and ensuring that all documentation, project packages, and office requirements are performed and maintained in a professional and organized manner. The HSE Administrator is responsible for helping administer safety and compliance databases, provide executive and field HSE support, and maintain accurate reportable HSE records.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the safety team in implementing and maintaining health & safety programs and processes.
  • Provide support and assistance to project personnel.
  • Maintain and update new hire orientation processes and assist with the pre-qualification processes.
  • Maintain customer/client pre-qualification databases, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
  • Manage program requirements.
  • Maintain safety documentation for tracking and reporting, including, but not limited to: checklists, presentations, incident reports and training records etc.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of safety notifications and bulletins.
  • Record, document, and file meeting minutes/agendas for weekly safety meeting, general safety, and other meetings as per management requests.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of all hard hats, stickers, safety books (logs, tailgates, FLHA’s, etc.).

Note: In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of administration experience in a professional setting.
  • Experience in the pipeline or facilities construction industry would be an asset.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within team environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exhibits a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrates personal accountability and integrity in all tasks.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving goals efficiently.
  • Ability to handle multiple and overlapping activities.
  • Is well organized and prioritized.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is based in our Lafayette location and works in an office environment. Travel to project sites may be required.
 
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The HSE Administrator reports to the Vice President, Health, Safety & Environment.
