ROLE
WHC Energy Services – A Surerus Murphy Company (WHC), is seeking to recruit a Superintendent; Facilities Operations. The key role of the Superintendent will be to: provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent will be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Superintendent will supervise Assistant-Superintendents, all subcontractors, consultants and vendors, and project security personnel.
  • Ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
  • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

Note: In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • 5+ years verifiable experience.
Experience
  • Experience in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is preferred.
  • Experience overseeing subcontractors and vendors, providing guidance and resolving operational challenges to ensure project efficiency.
  • Experience monitoring and enforcing job site health and safety protocols and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with comprehensive site inspections, including elevated structures, to assess project progress and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is field based and often works within remote project locations. Travel and/or living in temporary accommodations is required.  Able to work 6 days on, 1 day off shift with10 hour shifts for the duration of project. 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Superintendent reports to the Construction Manager.
