As a ISSO you will provide support for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
Responsibilities
- Support organization, system, or enclave IA programs
- Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and methodologies
- Establish and maintain operational security posture
- Assist with information system security management and day-to-day security operations
- Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support C&A
- Provide CM as needed for security software, hardware, and firmware
- Manage system changes and assess security impacts
- Prepare and review SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs
- Support security authorization activities in compliance with Government standards and the RMF
Required Skills
- Knowledge of current security tools
- Hardware/software security implementation
- Communication protocols
- Encryption techniques/tools.
Required Education/Experience
14 or more years of ISSO experience; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
Clearance
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required
