Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday – Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)
Job Summary
Employees in this position use a variety of methods to process parts in preparation for plating and other coatings. The operators perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. This is a trainee operator position in our Anodize department. Employees in this position will process a variety of parts in our Anodize department. Anodize Operators may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. The Anodize Operators perform operations in accordance with Military, Industry and OEM specifications.
* FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.
Responsibilities
Salary Range for position: $15.74 - $45.00 *Trainee hourly rate generally starts between $18.00 to $22.00 per hour and is based on prior aerospace finishing experience. Experienced anodize operator pay will be reviewed above $21.00 and generally based on total number of years and/or including highest level of education achieved.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with experienced Anodize Operator to complete work and prioritize tasks for On-Time delivery.
- Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced Anodize Operators to prepare and process parts; prepare, understand, and document technique cards.
- Prepare parts prior to operations including racking; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
- Legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
- General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
- Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
- Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
- Be familiar with engineering drawing notations.
- Be familiar with the safety precautions & know how to avoid injury to personnel.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service. Be involved in Kaizen events as needed either as a participant or supporter.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
- Other duties as assigned.
- May be required to join the FAA Repair Station program, including the FAA Drug & Alcohol random selection pool.
- Required to participate in annual Hearing Conservation testing.
- Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE based upon requirements in working area.
- Demonstrated ability to train and positively influence others.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work both independently, as a team, and with customers (both internally and externally).
- Excellent accuracy with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to solve tactical and strategic problems and issues arising in this position.
- Ability to learn and use Lean Tools and techniques to solve tactical and strategic problems and issues arising in this position.
- Ability to multi task effectively.
- Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
- Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with Customers and auditors.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.
- 1-2 years in manufacturing environment a plus.
- Ability to lift occasionally up to 63 lbs. occasionally
