The Project Coordinator supports the Piping Engineering and Design group by managing project coordination, documentation, schedules, communication workflows, and providing engineering input.

The Project Coordinator supports the Piping Engineering and Design group by managing project coordination, documentation, schedules, communication workflows, and providing engineering input.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain project schedules, drawing logs, and deliverable trackers in coordination with Lead Designers and Project Managers.
- Track status of isometric, orthographic, and shop drawing deliverables through MTS release workflows.
- Coordinate internal design reviews, meetings, and action item tracking.
- Manage document control including revisions, issuance, filing, and distribution per MTS standards.
- Log, track, and route RFIs, client comments, and clarifications to appropriate technical staff.
- Provide engineering guidance to the design team.
- Provide input into project estimates.
- Compile and distribute weekly project status reports.
- Coordinate fabrication and construction package assembly and issuance.
- Support cross-discipline coordination by tracking required inputs and follow-ups.
- Assist with onboarding coordination and documentation for new design team members.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Effectively communicate and project the principles of the Talent Advantaged Roadmap.
- Collaborative mindset aligned with MTS’s “Design-Build” business model.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction management, or technical coordination.
- 2 years of experience in a project coordination or engineering support role (time in school can substitute for this requirement).
- Experience supporting industrial, piping, or fabrication projects preferred.
- Knowledge of piping terminology and standards is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively with designers, engineers, project managers, and shop personnel.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability.
- Ability to attain and promote good customer relationships (both internal and external).
