OFFICE SPECIALIST – St. Louis Division

Join our team as an Office Specialist in our new St. Louis County location, providing pupil transportation for the Special School District, where you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and exemplary transportation department.

Qualifications:

  • Efficient:  Must be able to work independently, adhere to prescribed routines and practice, maintain records, and make reports requiring accuracy
  • Effective:  Must be able to meet deadlines especially on special projects as assigned
  • Knowledgeable:  Must have knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
  • Computer proficiency: Must have basic skill with Microsoft applications, databases, and routing software
  • Communication:  Must maintain open/direct communication with immediate supervisor and co-workers
  • Empathy:  Must have empathetic attitude toward children
Essential Functions:

Clerical:
  • Answers the phone
  • Schedules transportation requests
  • Enters transportation requests
  • Corresponds via e-mail with school districts regarding scheduling requests
  • Liaison to the school districts as it relates to reservation requests
  • Complete filing, copying, faxing, typing, and reporting as needed
  • Maintain office supplies
Support for Logistics:
  • Assists with routing and efficiency as directed
  • Dispatches on a back-up basis
  • Assists with tablets as needed
  • Contact drivers as needed
  • Maintains a positive relationship with the School Districts, Students, Parents, and Drivers
Support to the Transportation Coordinators:
  • Generates and disseminates district reports
  • Assists with the in-service training process i.e., scheduling, tracking attendance, training
  • Assists by scheduling driver and aide medical appointments
  • Completes a variety of reports and duties i.e., payroll, driver schedules, etc. as assigned
Other:
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

About the Position:
  • $18-$20 per hour, commensurate on experience
  • Full-Time Hourly
  • This is an in-person position
  • Monday-Friday – Work schedule may vary, based on the needs of the department
  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance, 401K offered
