Position Summary:
The Safety Specialist participates in safety-related activities company wide. These responsibilities include but are not limited to, completing video safety reviews to evaluate safe driver performance and accidents/incidents. Responds to the scene in the event of an accident/incident. Completes reports to document findings from the video reviews. Assists with the new hire orientation, in-service training, and driver education programs.

We have over 25 years of experience, we offer a range of services using minivans and full-sized vans equipped with GPS technology, security cameras, and communication devices. We own and provide vehicles and pay for maintenance and fuel.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required
- Meets the requirements as outlined for a Transportation Specialist
- Ability to work with limited supervision and direction
- Ability to effectively speak before groups, customers, and management
- Ability to write reports, correspondence, and tracking programs as required
- Ability and commitment to handle information in a confidential manner
- Knowledgeable as to safe driving practices
- Knowledgeable as to traffic law
- Law enforcement experience preferable, but not required
Job Functions:
- Conducts safety video reviews to evaluate driver performance and accident/incident investigation
- Completes safety reports documenting video review findings
- Responds to the scene in the event of an accident and/or crisis situation
- Participates in the development and presenting of training
- Participates in the re-training program for drivers who have had accidents and/or
- incidents as necessary, by providing instruction to improve skills and insure safe habits
- Maintains effective communications with co-workers and supervisors
- Provides mentoring, coaching, and support to all team members
- Participate in safety meetings and committees
