Content Producer Job Description (REMOTE POSITION)

The digital content manager will be a member of our digital team and will have the primary responsibility of entering and editing content on our clients’ websites, both during website build projects and on an operational basis on live websites. The content will include images, videos, blog posts, corporate website articles, press releases, PDFs, social media and marketing copy.  The perfect fit for our team and this role is someone with a meticulous nature who is naturally driven to deliver outstanding results for our clients. We’re seeking an individual with a design eye (and a bit of design tool know-how) who can also perform minor HTML/CSS tasks pertaining to content publication and will also happily publish content, even the most routine content, with pride.

*This is a remote role during COVID-19, and we are open to flexible, hybrid office / work from home arrangements post-COVID.

Responsibilities include:
  • Load and publish content for clients’ websites; work with developers and editors to ensure quality
  • Ensure all digital content entries are sufficiently complete to address adherence with WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards and principles of search engine optimization
  • Support the quality assurance process, helping to identify and fix publishing issues
  • Work closely with the digital product manager to suggest roadmap improvements to the CMS based on ongoing client publishing needs
  • Apply basic HTML and CSS changes to facilitate content publication on sites operating with an older version of Drupal

Required skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related area (graphic design, media, communications, digital marketing)
  • 1 to 2 years of professional industry experience managing website content using a content management system (Drupal is our CMS of choice and experience with Drupal is highly preferred)
  • Ability to perform image production such as sizing, cropping and editing
  • Working experience with Adobe creative suite (XD, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Basic HTML and CSS proficiency
  • Exposure to content marketing tactics, such as SEO, digital advertising, and social media marketing
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills with the ability to be engaged in multiple projects with tight deadlines while simultaneously meeting clients’ needs from an operational standpoint on live sites
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and effectively with clients and team members to ensure expectations are appropriately set regarding such things as availability and constraints
