(add)ventures- Art Director (contract) (New England)

Calling all Art Directors, type geeks and layout lovers: (add)ventures’ design team is growing! We’re on the hunt for a Contract Art Director. This position is Remote at this time and 30-40 hours/week.

The art director will work closely with our Sr. Art and Creative directors, graphic designers, strategists, and copywriters to conceptualize, ideate, direct, and oversee the production of a project’s deliverables from beginning to end. Expertise in developing, translating, and refining brand guidelines for a range of retail, corporate, and other applications and projects, in digital and print mediums and for multiple channels, is preferred.

The art director must be able to translate strategies into compelling, clear, and creative graphic and experience design solutions and support our Sr. Art and Creative directors, designers and other cross-disciplinary team members.
Ideal candidates are self-starters with outstanding communication skills who can work with minimal oversight both remotely and on-sight as needed.

Qualified candidates will have:

Minimum of 7 to 10+ years of experience (cumulative) in a graphic designer, sr. graphic design, or art direction role
A portfolio highlighting mastery in graphic design across multiple mediums and channels including retail
Expert knowledge across Adobe Creative Suite
BFA in accredited Graphic Design or Communications Design program preferred
Ability to receive creative direction and provide art direction to other team members
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly
