Concierge/Receptionist – East Providence, RI

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to join our team as a Concierge/Receptionist at our East Providence, RI headquarters. As the first point of contact for our company, the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment for visitors, clients, and (add)venturists. Candidates must be self-starters who can anticipate needs, take initiative, and effectively manage various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  Front Desk Management:

  • Greet and assist visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Answer and direct phone calls promptly, taking messages as needed.
  • Manage the reception area, conference rooms and kitchen areas to ensure a tidy and organized appearance including set-up and clean-up.
  • Maintain the office space each day with turning on/off lights and monitors, caring for plants and related duties.

  Client and Guest Relations:

  • Create a positive and lasting impression for clients and guests.
  • Provide information about the company and its services.
  • Anticipate and fulfill client and guest needs to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure client and guest experiences exceed expectations.
  • Manage catering, snacks and drinks for required meetings, paying attention to special dietary needs of guests and overall presentation.
  • Assist with general hospitality and event coordination for both company and client events.

   Administrative Support:

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments.
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure necessary resources are available.
  • Work with HR regarding on-boarding/off-boarding duties for employees.
  • Assist with mailings and general administrative tasks, i.e., typing, data entry, research, etc.

   Communication and Coordination:

  • Effectively communicate with various departments to relay important information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clear communication, especially for clients and guests onsite.
  • Assist in coordinating meetings and events.

   Problem Solving:

  • Address and resolve inquiries or issues efficiently.
  • Take proactive steps to prevent potential challenges.

   Technology Proficiency:

  • Utilize office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Familiarity with phone systems and other office equipment.

   Initiative and Adaptability:

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in reception processes.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or similar role, i.e., hospitality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google products.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and a willingness to take on new challenges.


Other Essential Requirements:

  • Physical demands include walking, sitting, squats, bends, lifts and moves during working hours.  Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to converse and hear.
  • Requires normal (corrected) vision.
  • Requires coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.
  • The Concierge/Receptionist position is an on-site position, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.

Pay Range:
$24 - $26/hour, depending on experience
