About the Role
Working with the Software & Data Services Administrator, this role will assist in maintaining a successful database environment while providing technical assistance and training to staff. They will also work with an outside IT vendor to provide on-site day-to-day technical support. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Helpdesk Technician, performed in coordination with outside IT vendor
  • Assist in responding to user inquries on computer software and hardware operations to resolve problems
  • Troubleshoot issues related to software or hardware
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing and ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or other appropriate software
  • Develop and implement training materials and procedures and/or train end-users on the proper use of hardware and software
  • Coordinate with other outside vendors when troubleshooting issues

Database Management, under the supervision of and in collaboration with Software & Data Services Administrator
  • Assist in enforcing established standards and guidelines to administer and maintain the database and to standardize data entry
  • Fulfill requests for reports and lists generated from the association management system (currently AA)
  • Assists in training new and existing staff in the use of the AMS and data entry procedures
  • Assists in developing and running reports for all departments using SQL, Crystal Reports, and other appropriate report writing tools and/or assist end-users with report development, as requested
  • Regularly reviews and cleans up AMS to remove and/or consolidate duplicate entries


Education & Experience
  • Required:
    • Associate’s Degree in related field, experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
    • 0 – 2 years experience in an office setting, preferably in an association or non-profit, internships will be considered
    • In-depth knowledge of O365
    • Very strong customer service skills
    • Excellent organization and communication skills
    • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, regularly, including multiple times daily
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • Hands on experience working with an Association Management System (AMS) or other type of database
    • Experience using Association Anywhere and/or SQL
