Your Role: Driving Our Growth

As a Sales Representative, you'll play a key role in generating growth by engaging in lead generation, qualifying prospects, and securing contracted freight opportunities. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential clients, showcasing Buchanan Logistics' capabilities and exceptional service. Partnering with our Account Manager/Site Director, you'll build bids, track progress, close deals, manage and grow the relationship further.
A Typical Day Includes:
·  Manage and record daily CRM activities : Effectively manage prospects within our CRM system to nurture leads and drive sales opportunities.
·  Utilize Lead Generation Tools: Harness the power of tools like ZoomInfo and LinkedIn to identify and research businesses that align with our Ideal Client Profile.
·  Maximize Revenue Opportunities: Strategically optimize revenue and gross profit for each customer assigned in CRM, ensuring profitability.
·  Maintain Contact Lists: Ensure accuracy of contact lists in CRM and manage correspondence to ensure prospects receive timely and relevant communications from Buchanan.
·  Coordinate RFPs and Credit Requests: Promptly coordinate and submit Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and credit requests for new customers to facilitate smooth onboarding.
·  Collaborate with Account Managers: Work closely with Account Managers/Site Directors to develop quotations and ensure seamless hand-off of customers, fostering strong client relationships.

  • Excellent time management abilities with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • A proactive attitude towards pursuing new clients and closing new business
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Preferred: 1-3 years of work experience, transportation industry experience, and a high school degree or equivalent
