Full-time/Part-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The Revenue Cycle Liaison assists and guides practice staff/manager to resolve issues related to billing. Ensures efficient and accurate follow through for billing issues. Works collaboratively within the organization to resolve issues, as well as acts as a liaison for effective communication between the practice staff/managers and billing company staff.

Job Standards:
  • Education/Experience: High school graduate or possession of a GED certificate. Some secondary education.
  • Certification:  Billing and/or Coding certification(s) preferred.
  • Special Skills:  Must have excellent communication skills and ability to tactfully deal with physicians and patients.  Must demonstrate proficiency in computer-based work  processing and office equipment, including fax, copier, etc.  Knowledge/understanding of diagnosis and procedure codes, insurance payer rules/regulations, claims filing and collections.  Previous medical billing experience preferred. 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serves as resource for practice staff and managers throughout BHUC to resolve issues related to revenue cycle.  Works collaboratively to communicate problems and resolve issues pertaining to revenue cycle.  Maintains accurate documentation and meets regularly with practice managers and staff to ensure efficient and accurate follow through for revenue cycle issues.
  • Analyzes revenue cycle reports and meets regularly with management to monitor and identify trends and preventable denials.
