Cardiac Cath Lab Coordinator

Black Hills Surgical Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiac Cath Lab Coordinator to join our Black Hills Heart and Vascular Institute team. The successful candidate will help oversee the daily operations of our cardiac catheterization laboratory, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of the cardiac catheterization laboratory
  • Schedule and coordinate cardiac procedures, ensuring optimal lab utilization
  • Supervise Cath lab staff, including nurses and technologists
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, managing costs effectively
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and other departments to provide seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor patient outcomes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and technologies
  • Provide education and training to staff on new equipment and techniques
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all cath lab procedures
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
  • Current RN license in South Dakota, or ability to obtain one
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Cardiac-specific certifications (e.g., RCIS, RCES) strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures and related equipment
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and data management systems
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
