Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director, Financial Operations will perform day-to-day accounting functions, from the general ledger to financial statements, direct primary accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external reporting, manage critical operational components of the business, and liaise effectively with stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this position can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when performing responsibilities, lead while also being a team player, and generate innovative ideas. Primary responsibilities include:
 
  • Perform monthly and annual financial close, account reconciliations, GL analysis & reporting, cash management;
  • Maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget;
  • Manage operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll;
  • Coordinate and interact with external auditors, and produce schedules for audit and reporting purposes;
  • Manage and maintain schedules for vendor relationships and recurring/other payments;
  • Coordinate with the Sales Operations team to maintain cross-departmental systems and assure compliance with policies and procedures;
  • Provide support and ensure process consistency in both Vendor Procurement and Customer Onboarding activities;
  • Liaise effectively with sales, HR, IT, and legal colleagues to drive business growth and advance firm-wide initiatives;
  • Maintain business licenses / statutory registrations and coordinate employee benefits;
  • Advance financial and operational initiatives, such as software and systems deployments and other firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation.

Qualifications:
 
  • 3 years minimum experience in relevant functional area (e.g., FP&A, strategic planning, treasury, accounting)
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Experience working with Netsuite preferred
  • Experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues
  • MBA or CPA preferred, but not required
  • Excellent business judgment, analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple matters, with a willingness and curiosity to learn areas outside of expertise.
  • Detail-oriented, with unrivaled ethics, integrity, and ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
