Job Title: BIM/VDC Coordinator                                                                 

Job Summary: The BIM/VDC Coordinator is responsible for assisting the lead design engineer and/or Construction Project Manager with modeling / design support for design/build, design/assist and any other traditional construction type project requiring design or BIM services. Implement Engineer’s intent into a constructible model, coordinated with other trades and structural / environmental variables. Develop coordinated installation drawings and highlight problems with design if evident and work with Engineer on solutions. The BIM/VDC Coordinator is responsible for supporting field installation, engineering and design efforts needed for any CESG projects requiring design services. VDC/BIM Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining and enhancing CESG’s professional image.
Duties and Responsibilities – Essential Functions
1. Work under the direction of project engineer supporting efforts to design projects in an efficient manner (link between PM/Field to the Engineer.)
2. Routinely meet with lead engineer to verify the design is being developed in appropriate method.
3. Provide means and method of installation to the field and document changes as as-builts if they diverge or are added during the design process.
4. Maintain relationships with others in the organization so as to provide for a positive work climate.
5. Assume other duties as directed by appropriate authorities.
6. Adherence to CESG’s policies and procedures, including our Environmental, Health, and Safety program.

Job Specifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
1. Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
2. Drafting and BIM software (NavisWorks, Revit, AutoCAD).
3. Knowledge of other trades and their requirements (preferred).
4. Ability to focus, organize and prioritize essential functions of this job in order to meet deadlines.
5. Ability to foster and maintain teamwork skills.
6. Develop proficient and professional communication skills.
7. Able to adjust and be flexible to the sudden demands.
8. Work with marketing group, as needed/requested, to create visually appealing models / marketing concepts for presentation to potential clients.

CESG is a business casual working environment. Normal office hours are 8am – 5pm but can be somewhat flexible.

Education, Experience, and/or Prerequisites Required:
  1. Requires a Bachelors Degree in a technical field, Business Management, or equivalent work experience
  2. Five (2+) years of proven operational experience in project Cad/BIM/VDC profession.
