ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Arrange for all clean china, glass, silverware, and serving pieces needed as directed by the Head Chef and the Sous Chefs
- Maintain general cleanliness of all kitchen areas
- Removal of trash & recycling to the proper disposal area
- Sweep and mop the floors in the kitchen, dish station and room service area
- Assists in back dock organization and trash & waste receptacle treatment
- Steam cleans and/or hoses out all garbage and recycle cans
- Pressure washes all kitchen mats at the end of the evening shift
- Complies with all sanitation, food handling, and safety requirements
- Scrub pots and pans
- Clean the outside docks, kitchen entry, and downstairs in the break area
- Clean kitchen equipment including the stoves and hoods
- Maintain the detergent in the dishwashing machine
- Fill soap and hand towel dispensers daily
- Prep food for the kitchen as needed
- Ability to work and maintain a clean work environment
- Ability to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours a day
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs
- Must be willing to follow direction from managers
- Willing to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player
- Must work in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to speak English is preferable
- Previous experience in a kitchen is desirable
- Must have Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of hire
