ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Set up bar station with all items needed for shift including but not limited to: water, ice, silver, napkins, salt and pepper shakers, wiping towels, coffee, iced tea, juices, fruits/garnishes, beverage ingredients, glassware and any other item that may be needed throughout the shift.
  2. Assist bartender in setting up or marking guests for dining or following courses.  Help to clear soiled dishes from tables, including glassware, silver, bread plates, and any other items on table that are not being used
  3. Reset bar seating areas as guests depart including wiping, resetting, and cleaning surrounding area so table is ready for next guest
  4. Clean, polish, and restock bar glassware throughout and at the end of service
  5. Maintain a generally clean and organized environment behind the bar so it is presentable to the guests’ view and adheres to health code
  6. Batch cocktails accurately and according to the recipes and ensure all fresh, dehydrated, and other garnishes have been prepared and are in good supply
  7. Acquire a basic knowledge of Cavallo Point beverage program, food menu, and beverage in general to better communicate with and assist guests and bartenders.
  8. Do whatever duties deemed necessary by manager to service the guest and bar.
  9. Close down bar: ensure all open wine and perishable product is dated, implement the “first in/first out” system for all beer, wine, and perishable product, put away all supplies, clean storage and bar areas, and perform any closing duties deemed necessary by manager and closing side work manual.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  2. Must be able to speak English to co-workers and guests
  3. Ability to speak Spanish is preferable
