Since 1945, this company in Cuyahoga Falls  has about 130 employees and 42 machines - with plans to purchase more in the near future.

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to ensure the precision and excellence of products. 

About the Role: 
As a quality inspector, you will be responsible for operating CMM and/or Faro inspection equipment. Some programming using PCDMIS might also be involved as needed. 

With opportunities on both 1st and 2nd shifts, hours are flexible and overtime is not uncommon - most of the team works 50-60 hour weeks.

Responsibilities:
Inspection and Quality Control:
  • Perform first article, in-process, final inspection, etc. to verify conformance to customer requirements, drawings, and internal processing requirements, etc. using precision measuring instruments such as CMM, Faro arms, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, V-Blocks, etc.
  • Identify and report any non-conforming or out-of-specification parts for corrective action.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including measurements, findings, and observations.
  • Generate inspection reports and documentation for each batch of machined parts, highlighting any discrepancies or issues.

Equipment Calibration and Maintenance:

  • Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to guarantee accurate measurements.
  • Assist in the calibration schedule and record-keeping for all inspection tools and equipment.

This position is due to growth and works with the machine shop to ensure quality meets the highest standards possible.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
  • AS9100 & ISO 9001 experience is necessary
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Mechanical Inspector or Quality Control Inspector in a CNC machine shop or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and defects.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
