Adler & Colvin has an opening in our San Francisco office for an experienced paralegal with professional familiarity with corporate, transactional, and/or similar work. Our ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong financial skills or an interest in developing such skills and some direct experience in nonprofit administration. California notary public desirable. A demonstrated interest in the nonprofit sector, through employment, board service, or volunteerism, is desirable.

Salary Range: $92,398 to $125,009
Hybrid Work Schedule: For the first 3 months paralegals will be onsite full-time (while training). After 3 months, our weekly Firm day is Wednesday (when everyone living in the SF Bay Area must come in). Additional days are based on business needs.
Paid Time Off: Competitive vacation accrual; designated holidays, paid floating holiday, and sick leave.
Health Plan: Choice of six health plans (two Kaiser and four Blue Shield) along with dental and vision insurance. Adler & Colvin generously contributes toward the employee cost of group medical coverage.
Dental & Vision Plans: Adler & Colvin pays 100% of dental and vision premiums.
Basic Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability Insurance: Adler & Colvin pays 100% of the premiums.
Retirement: 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan. Under the Safe Harbor provisions of the Plan, the firm contributes 5% of total gross compensation up to the allowable maximum for the 401(k) part of the plan. The Profit-Sharing provisions are subject to end-of-year calculations.

Basic requirements include:
- At least three years of experience as a paralegal with significant corporate, transactional, and/or similar professional experience
- Meets the educational and experiential requirements set forth in California Business and Professions Code Section 6450 et seq.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Analytical and issue spotting skills
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management software
- Proficiency in one or more online legal research platforms, preferably Westlaw and Checkpoint
- Proficiency in researching federal, state, and regulatory agency codes, regulations, and guidelines
- Ability to manage both complex and small projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation in a collaborative, team environment
Our ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Direct experience in nonprofit administration, such as governance, regulatory agency compliance, and corporate record keeping
- Direct experience with preparing complex forms and identifying appropriate corresponding supporting materials
- Strong financial skills, including ability to extract or extrapolate information from budgets, financial statements, and tax returns
- California notary public
