Essential Duties:
The job duties listed below are an overview of the essential duties and measures required to be successful in the position.  Please note that the listed examples do not include all tasks, which may be expected within this job position.

  • Ensure kitchen and FARMSTAND (our on property food truck) are fully stocked with clean plates, silverware, glassware, pots, pans etc.
  • Keep dish washing and food prep stations clean and tidy throughout the day and at the end of shift
  • Test the quality and temperature of water throughout shift and make sure proper use of cleaning chemicals are always being used as directed
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing walk-in refrigerators and freezers
  • Provide assistance in storing goods so that at time of delivery, food is put away in accordance to type and promptly perishable foods stay at temperature
  • Remove all garbage to proper bins for disposal
  • Maintain and comply with hotel standards according to chefs, keep in communication and prioritize kitchen service needs
  • Comply with all federal, state, and county regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements

General Requirements:

Education:  High School Degree or equivalent

  • Experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or equivalent commercial kitchen

  • Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
  • Strong oral communication skills.  Must be able to speak, read, and write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Ability to work interdepartmentally, with Restaurant, Kitchen, Spa and other Farmhouse teams
  • Team oriented attitude
  • Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and complies with Farmhouse Inn standards
  • Capability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, with composure
  • Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs, weekend and holiday availability

Physical Requirements:
  • Pushing & Pulling: up to 50lbs frequently
  • Lifting & Carrying: average weight 25lbs constantly
  • Standing & Walking: constantly
  • Kneeling & Bending: frequently
  • Reaching: constantly
  • Need to be able to work in a standing position for prolonged periods of time.  Must be able to work in a small work space
