Shipping & Receiving Dock Forklift Driver - 1st Shift

Full-time shipping & receiving dock forklift driver needed for day shift. Prior experience with forklift highly preferred.  On the job training provided.  High attention to detail is a must.

Essential Functions:

• Must be able to safely operate various types of forklifts and powered material handling equipment or be able to learn to operate them.
• Responsible for loading and unloading trucks and trailers using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Verify incoming shipments against Bills of Lading (BOL), purchase orders, and packing slips to ensure order accuracy.
• Inspect incoming shipments for visible damage, shortages, or discrepancies and promptly report issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Accurately stage and organize incoming materials and outgoing shipments in designated areas of the dock.
• Transport received materials to proper storage locations using forklifts and other lifting equipment.
• Assist in putting received materials away into designated warehouse or storage locations as time permits.
• Load outgoing parts orders onto trucks or freight carriers ensuring correct items, quantities, and secure placement for transport.
• Secure loads using straps, shrink wrap, or other securing methods as required.
• Maintain organized staging areas to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and material flow.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of shipments and receipts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of receiving and shipping activities as required.
• Assist with parts pulling, packing, and shipping operations during periods of high order volume or when forklift duties are limited.
• Work both on and off forklifts as operational needs require.
• Maintain awareness of safety procedures and potential hazards while operating equipment or handling materials.
• Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
• Work cooperatively with shipping, receiving, and parts department personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on the dock and in warehouse staging areas.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Perform basic daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
