How You Will Contribute
- Experience working with tax matters in large Pharma or Clinical Research Organizations with a global presence preferred
- Experience with financial services tax matters helpful
- Existing relationships with potential outside advisors would be beneficial
- Confidence and ability to research, defend and recommend key positions to clients and stakeholders in the Company
- Day-to-day management of tax matters, including both domestic and international tax matters
- Partner with business units to ensure proper tax support and guidance is provided for new and existing product offerings
- Lead facilitation of required consultations in conjunction with tax initiatives
- Work closely with Legal Department to ensure contracts are compliant with applicable tax regulations
- Liaise with external tax advisors regarding tax filings, tax matters, financial statement disclosures, and tax consulting projects
- Analyze and resolve tax questions raised by internal and external customers
- Provide timely, accurate, and compliant tax reporting
- Research new tax guidance and conclude upon potential impact to the Company
- Collaborate with colleagues regarding strategic initiatives and process improvements
For Consideration You Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 10+ years of experience preferred; CPA desired
- Record of progressively responsible experience addressing domestic and international tax matters
- Proven track record working with both internal and external teams
- Strong business acumen, strategic outlook, and ability to multi-task or change focus when required
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Mail, and Google Docs
