Seeking a Python Developer who loves to collaborate and is passionate about writing code. The Application Developer will work on our Labs team completing production support and building and modify smaller features with a focus on reducing manual processes and pain points in our SaaS application. This role will interact with development team members as well as Architecture, UX, Product and Operations.  Greenphire development teams face unique challenges in developing features while working in the constraints of Financial Technology and Clinical Research spheres.  Production support offers a fast track to learning about our varied technical stack.

How You Will Contribute
  • Complete production support (Tier 2) tickets
  • Build, test, and deploy code for SaaS applications
  • Implement new application features for our Python-based microservices with high quality, as well as, our Legacy Django system.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies to scope and plan features
  • Support our SDLC through code reviews and support of our Quality processes
  • Participate in technical design discussions
  • Write clean, maintainable code, and read code created by others.
  • Ensure code adheres to standards for accessibility, scalability, usability, security, and performance
  • Work collaboratively with other developers
For Consideration You Will Have
  • Highly collaborative, a fast learner and willing to work wherever needed on the team.
  • Experience with or equivalent training/education in Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience with or equivalent training/education in Python and a major relational database.
  • Familiar with version control and understanding of version control concepts.
  • Passion for industry best practices and computer programming
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Ability to prioritize security and privacy
  • Ability to independently manage time and priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a local development environment
  • Preferred experience with a variety of programming languages, frameworks, methodologies, relational and NoSQL databases including some of the following: MicroServices, Django, PostgresSQL, JavaScript, Angular, CouchDB
  • Preferred experience with writing and maintaining automated tests, especially Python & Django unit testing methodologies.
  • Experience with asynchronous messaging systems: RabbitMQ or Kafka. 
  • Experience with development environment configuration and dev ops tools: NGINX, docker, docker-compose, kubernetes, Jenkins
  • Full-stack experience a plus
