About You

You’re an experienced environmental consultant and project manager with a reputation for providing high-quality service to clients. You want to deliver environmental impact assessments, regulatory support and studies to clients with the support of a highly competent and collaborative team as well as be mentored by the best in the business. Your Responsibilities

In your role, you will have the opportunity to take on a wide variety of tasks. Some examples are:
  • Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external clients in the delivery of environmental planning and ecological services.
  • Developing client relationships that facilitate successful delivery of projects and the maintenance of future and ongoing opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to existing and prospective clients.
  • Oversee projects involving multiple service areas and subcontracts.
  • Oversee project deliverables, including quality, technical content, and consistency with client expectations.
  • Promote and maintain a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation within the office, region, and between other areas of the organization.
  • Train, grow and build responsibility in less-experienced staff members.

The Essentials

You are solutions-oriented and have the following skills:
  • A university degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience managing projects, including budgets and schedules.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to think independently and strategically, maintain a positive attitude, be self-motivated and employ a strong work initiative.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Bonus Points

The following attributes may give you a competitive edge:
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • A professional designation (e.g., R.P.Bio or P.Biol.) or eligibility for a designation.
  • Experience with ports, terminals and shipping in BC, Canada, USA or internationally.
  • Experience collaborating with Indigenous peoples.
  • Project management experience or a PMP certification.
  • Experience with business development.

The role is based in our Burnaby office, but you may be required to travel throughout BC and across Canada and Internationally for short periods of time.
