Overview:                  
This position is responsible for the operational administration of the daily human resources activities of the association.


The Human Resources Manager reports to the President & CEO and is classified as full-time, exempt.  

Essential Functions of the Position Include, but Are Not Limited To:
  • Serving as a resource to employees and managers on all human resources related issues
  • Managing and executing the association's employment lifecycle: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and separation
  • Administering the association's employee benefit programs including enrollments and terminations and conveying benefit information to employees
  • Providing direction to employees and supervisors related to the association’s policies, procedures, and employment related issues
  • Tracking all human resources related reporting requirements and filing reports as required
  • Implementing and coordinating professional development and team training for all employees
  • Maintaining the association’s database of human resources related information
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications for the Position Include:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field
  • Current PHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • At least five years of relevant human resources experience
  • Practical knowledge of federal and state human resources laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability, and commitment to, providing an extremely high level of customer service
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and various HRIS software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills 
  • Highly motivated; able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Highly dependable and reliable with regard to work schedule and ability to meet project deadlines
