THE ROLE:
We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance. You will help install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
If you’re computer-savvy and enjoy supporting end users, we’d like to meet you. To succeed in this role, you should have a problem-solving attitude along with the ability to give clear technical instructions. You should also be familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques.
Ultimately, you will ensure prompt and accurate support of HAIX North America staff.

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance. You will help install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.

THE JOB:
- Address user tickets for hardware, software, and networking.
- Guide users through installations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
- Provide remote support when required.
- Log issues and solutions in ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate person.
- Follow up to ensure functionality and adequacy of solutions.
- Report feedback and requests for improvements.
- Create and update documentation.
- Perform daily desktop, network, and server support.
- Set up and test computers and network connections.
- Install and test software applications.
- Train staff with hardware and software usage as needed.
- Adhere to corporate policies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot peripherals.
- Other tasks as assigned.
THE SKILLS NEEDED:
• Proven work experience in a technical support role, such as IT Support Specialist, Systems Engineer, IT Helpdesk etc.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and macOS
• Working knowledge of peripherals such as monitors, multi-function printers, VOIP phones etc.
• Knowledge of best practices in regards to security
• Willingness to research and learn new skills
• Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Hands-on experience with Windows and macOS
