A Little About You
Your cover letter must demonstrate:
  • Client focus – how do you build relationships with and effectively liaise with clients
  • How you prioritize work – we are a flexible work environment that changes direction at full speed

Your resume should show us:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Registration or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and/or Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
  • Hydraulic modeling experience
  • Experience with hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWater, InfoSWMM, MIKE URBAN, WaterCAD, PCSWMM, XPSWMM, and HECRAS

Bonus points for:
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D and ArcGIS B
  • Utility coordination experience
  • Experience in consulting engineering environment


A Little More About the Role
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively liaise with clients.  While no two days look the same, you can expect to:
  • Plan, analyze, and design urban hydraulic systems (potable water distribution, wastewater collection and stormwater drainage)
  • Work on general municipal engineering projects, including infrastructure rehabilitation
  • Complete hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of complex urban drainage systems using state of the art software
  • Prepare engineering reports, documents, and drawings
  • Perform quality management – ensuring quality procedures are followed for drawings and reports
  • Develop and maintain ongoing client relationships
