A Little About You
Your cover letter must demonstrate:
  • How you prioritize work – we are a flexible work environment that changes direction at full speed

  • Your experience working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Your resume should show us:
  • At least 2 years experience working as a hydrogeologist
  • Field experience related to groundwater source well installation, pumping tests, groundwater monitoring, etc.
  • Reporting experience, particularly with well installation reports, groundwater licensing or monitoring reports, etc.
  • Registered as or eligible for registration as a G.I.T. with APEGA, APEGS or EGBC
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus points for:
  • Contaminated sites hydrogeological experience
  • Experience in a consulting environment


A Little More About the Role
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate would be in the Calgary region, but we are open to candidates working remotely from one of our offices in Alberta or British Columbia.  While no two days will look the same, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Conducting hydrogeological field work, such as: water source and monitoring well drilling and installation, hydraulic conductivity and pumping tests and groundwater monitoring and sampling for a wide variety of municipal and industrial clients
  • Preparing high quality field documentation and conducting detailed data analysis using AQTESOLV and Strater software
  • Assisting with the preparation of and authoring technical reports such as hydrogeological assessments, regulatory applications, and proposals
  • Liaise with internal and external clients, answering a wide range of hydrogeological questions
  • Travel as required for field programs (Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan) and working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
